Just bring yourself and your mat.
We use equipment such as is pictured above and If you decide you like this style of yoga you may want to have your own set of any, or all, of these "props" that are available from www.yogamatters.com and other sources.
Pictured is : 1 mat, 5 foam blocks, 2 bricks, 2 belts, a blanket, a bolster.
Any of the above equipment can help you get into poses you may not otherwise be able to . . . and very nice for relaxing too!
Try and leave at least two hours between eating and practicing yoga. On the same hand do not come to class feeling really hungry as you may feel shaky in the postures.
Basically, plan ahead so that your body is not busy digesting a recently eaten meal but also you have eaten enough two hours prior to see you through the class.
Leggings or shorts and a t-shirt are ideal, otherwise do not wear any tight clothes that restrict breathing, digestion or circulation as it is important to be able to move freely during your practice. However, baggy clothing is not suitable.
There is always a period of relaxation at the end of each class when you can put your socks back on and a jumper to keep warm during this time. Yoga is practiced in bare feet.
